Big day 31 today - tomorrow will be tough - away on business and out for a meal with colleagues. I am ready and I will boldly say "not for me thanks I don't drink any more. It wasn't doing me any favours so I stopped"

Sounds simple and makes me look like a normal human - inside I will be a desperate alky wanting to drink but I won't let ŷou good folks down:h

Actually why did I say that? I am no longer a desperate alky and I prove that by not needing to drink! It's about time I started to like myself instead of being the self pitying wretch I used to be, which is mostly why I needed AL.

I am a good person. I am not perfect, but then nobody is. I will do the best I can for myself my friends and my family. I will do that by being AL free and as healthy as I can be. They need a strong person around them not a weak imbecile. They are still here for me after 30 years if boozing so if they put up with that there must be something worthwhile beneath it. I am going to pull that to the surface and make them happy. It is my time to give back.:l
