      Try for 10 days AF??

so - today i got my cd's and am going to do sleep tonight - i know that's not the right order, but i have the kids and i'd hate for something to happen whilst i'm drifting into dreamland. i decided that prescription drugs are not for me at this point so thus far i'm only doing what supplements have been suggested.

5:00 rolled around today - and i didn't notice. for the first time in years and years - i didn't even see it coming. i'm usually counting down the minutes. i was far less agitated today and for some reason, it doesn't seem hard at all.

i'm still itchy. so that sucks. but read bananas help - so they're on my list for tomorrow. :-)

alcoholic - let's do another day. still can't believe i did two in a row in a breeze. i mean - i've done two in a row - but they were tough - constantly thinking about it and stressing about when it would be acceptable to drink again... today - didn't even think about it.

night friends. i'm so thankful i found you!

Alcoholic. I believe in you. I'm currently at ikea getting something to build. A project is going to help me. Day three is usually when I cave and it sounds like its a tough one for you. Lets get out for a walk and get over the day three hurdle. :-). We can do this! I have faith in you! Slept weird last night. Don't know if it was cd, freaking about every tiny noise, or withdrawal. But I'm exhausted!

              Hi dangrog:

Sitting in my massage chair now and all is fine. Made it another day. Yup, some cravings and hand shaking but nothing major. What are you going to build? The little startles you had probably were withdrawal symptoms... I hope we can make it 10 days!!! It's so much better w a buddy!

K9: thank you for your support! W you guys watching us, I definitely can't fail now!!!

Oh no!!! My 11 year old son just kicked me out of my massage chair!!! He's as addicted to that thing as I am!!!

Hahah. Alcoholic. Hats off to day three. Just put kids to bed and finishing the new storage system for all their stuff. It feels really good to get a project organized and completed in a day. Haven't done that in awhile.
The bad sleep is probably combo withdrawal and also hating sleeping without hubby. Just talked to him and he can't believe I've gone three days without freaking out.
I haven't had the shakes. And that's a first. Taking the supplements is amazing. Going to do a hypno therapy tomorrow while kids are in school.

I'm so happy you're doing this with me and I'm so happy people are watching over us. Makes me feel so much more comfortable. Thanks everyone!!!! See you in the morning!

                  Day 4: how's it going?

I can't believe you completed the storage system all by yourself!!! Congrats!

Lets conquer day 4 together. Don't see any problems coming my way. The coast is clear.... Hope your day is just as easy.. Hugs and prayers to you!!!

You guys are doing awesome! A couple weeks ago my daughter built a loft bed all by herself...it took her 9 hours but she patiently just plugged away at it. If I had been drinking, I would have forced my help on her, and I'm sure it would have been a big mess. Having her occupied for 9 straight hours gave me time to clean the house from top to bottom and even wash the car! Sober life is SO different (and much better) than drunk life. Keep at it and you will start to see all the amazing changes too!

I'm not so optimistic about me doing any more chores... Never did much chores before alcohol use, doubt that i will do much after sobriety... Lol! Will remain a slob for the rest of my life but a sober slob!!!! I told you guys I'm brutally honest w myself!

                        Try for 10 days AF??

Today has been a challenge. Had a long chat regarding someone who has given me difficulty in my life. It was painful and after I was frustrated and sad. Thought about 5 minutes about the rest of my day. It was full. I had no other time to myself and thought about sneaking some alone time. Which is why I'm writing now. Instead of stopping at the store I came to watch my kid at the park.
I know I made the right choice. Dinner tonight with friends at a family cafe that doesn't serve. And then home. So day 4. Even though u started rough. I did it!

Thanks alcoholic. Your words saying you got day four brought out my competitive side. I don't want u beating me! :-)

Hopefully better sleep tonight. I'm so in need! Alcoholic. Day 5 tomorrow see u then! Thanks for all of the support!!!

Haha! I'm glad I brought that competitive side in you! Just so you know, the rest of the 6 days will be a breeze for me too so you better get even more competitive, wink, wink!

Actually, dangrog, you helped me today too. I''m at dinner alone at a place where they serve alcohol, and I was thinking, where is dangrog??? Let me check my phone, if she's not there, maybe she caved in and I might as well have a drink. While I was still signing in my account the waitress came to get my order and I just didn't bother to order alcohol since I wanted to find you first! Then I found you! Glad I didn't order that wine and so glad to see you!!!

Sorry you had an emotional day today. But it sounds like your tomorrow will be pretty easy for you so we will ace the day 5 together!

K9, thank you for your encouragement!!! Your daughter is lucky to have u as a mom!!!

Alcoholic. I think if we got through today. The rest is cake. I mean really. We both thought about it and then both resolved to do something else (me, park, you, here). Both did the trick and reminded us that we can do this.
I'll see you in the morning! Can't wait for day 5. I'm really proud of u for dining alone without the wine. That was a hard test. And you passed it with flying colors! I'm glad we have each other. I say 10 might just be the beginning of a new way that ill be thinking about alcohol. Hopefully I can do the cd tomorrow. We rock!
