One Day at a Time November 3rd

Another AF day for me although in the past it would have been a massive drinking day. Although I loathe and detest fireworks with a vengeance it was as good as a excuse as any to get rat arsed.

Yep Bonfire Night in Great Britain. Although not until 5th November there'll be a mass of bonfires and fireworks tonight as it's a Saturday. Left a nice long wiki article for any one who has the time to read it.

So for those of us in GB make sure our pets are safe inside for the next few nights.
It could be worse, I could be filing.

Happy Saturday. I hate loud noises too. Glad I'm don't have that yo worry about. Work all day today so just going to come home and read. I've got to finish this novel that I started 4 weeks ago so I can start other ones. Definitely an AF day which is actually easier to achieve than reading that stupid novel!!!

          AF here.

Saturday's. Hate 'em (don't really, but once i finish work at 3.30/4pm... i have to pass the bar at work... and previously that would have been excuse to not pass, but to stop)... no plans this evening. I lead such a boring life! Maybe a movie.

and listening to the whizz and bangs of dem fireworkies.

Well how lovely to see the ODAT thread resurrected!! Brings back memories!! I remember posting each day, (sometimes several times a day!!) on the original one back in 2007/08. It really helped having somewhere to pop into and chat abt how we were doing "today". Anyway, just wanted to say Hi to all who pop in today and hope you have a great AF day. Nothing can be better.

Today I feel great and so very Grateful for my sobriety...this coming Friday the 9th will be 6 months since I had my last drink. There's no going back.

            xx

Congratulations Janice on your upcoming 6months of sobriety. It's nice to meet those who have come before and are celebrating an AF life.

                Hi all,

Love to join this thread. Brand new each day; feels like a great way to shed the past. After an exhausting work week, loving a weekend without commitments. I'm headed out for a hike, then just some light chores today. I started a fantasy novel that is pretty good; I can get a fire going and settle in. I'm sorry to hear you guys are dealing with unwelcome fireworks; that would definitely disrupt the peace.

                Kuya, congratulations!

RC, I wish I could keep you company.
