Sorry for the sentimentality but for anyone who like me have hurt their mums: I sent this to my superb mum ( mothers day in UK on 18th March)
Hope my children feel the same way as I do about my non-alcholic mum!!!!!!
Sometimes we say and do
Things we don?t know why
Sometimes its harder to tell the truth
than to tell a lie,
We always hurt the ones we love
If they didn?t love us it wouldn?t matter
Its far too easy to hurt someone who?s emotions
are already shattered
It is important to always take a step back
and not to be so emotionally tied in
You were never to blame
Only of too much giving
I may not be grateful for much or so it appears
but I hate to think that I have driven you, to tears
I always seem to tell you when I am feeling low
but I have really great days when I?m happy too, you know!
We will get through this, of that there is no doubt
because the one thing I am grateful for, is that you are about
You don?t need to have an answer for everything
Just listening is enough
Happiness is a double edged sword
We take the smooth with the rough
Someone doesn?t always have to be right
The other in the wrong
It is the compromise that really makes us strong
You?re the bravest person that I know even when your?re weak
When we are in trouble its your voice that we seek
So mum, I love you dearly
There are not enough reasons why
The bond between us is our greatest ally
