I've never thought much of Angelina Jolie other than the tabloids but this movie convinced me that she is a talented actress ( which is hard to do to for me because I am a real skeptic)

It's heartbreaking but moves you to see that all types of illness are beyond our control.

I saw it years ago too. Angelina Jolie did a fantastic job - it was really moving. I have a family member who suffers from schizophrenia so it was really difficult for me to see, but very good nonetheless. I don't know if it gave me any more insights into mental illness, but I appreciated that the subject was put out there as it's really avoided in our society most of the time.
