Hi Martye well done for taking your first step and avoiding the pub ;0) I'm on day 8 and feeling good. I only ever have short binges now with long periods of abstinence, but back in 2005 I was in a terrible state, 3 bottles of wine a day, one step from rehab! Anyway I went cold turkey and was in a terrible state for 3 days, vomiting, shaking, sweating, shaky hands, lack of sleep etc etc. but within 2 weeks I felt amazing, I would suggest, when feeling stronger, that you take up exercise, but in the first few days try and go for walks, eat well, drink loads of fluids, water, tea, juice. And keep close to this site.
