    Day 3 begins.

    Good Morning to you all.
Today is the beginning of day three for me. I am a bit nervous because I have to go out with some clients tonight for dinner and they new how much I enjoyed a good glass of wine.
What they don't know is that I would go home after dinner and get plastered on wine or my old stand by " Gin & Tonics".
So I am trying to figure out how to pass on the wine without getting into the whole discussion
with them about me not drinking. I think I am going to tell them that I am on this weight loos kick and I am off of alcohol for 30 days.
Any suggestions? I really would like to pass on this dinner but this is a 3 million dollar house
we are talking about. So I am going to be AF today just need to figure out this little bump in the road.
By the way I dropped another 1.5 pounds Yee Haw. The exercise and not drinking is paying off.

I hope you all have a AF day and that you can find something to be gratful for.

I am grateful for this site and all the wonderful people on here.

Telling them that you're passing on the wine because you're on a diet/fitness regime is perfect.... and the truth.

Isn't it funny how alcohol it the only poison that we feel we must make excuses for not consuming?

Good luck to you tonight. Have a plan, and stick to it!

The health kick is always a great excuse. But, just make sure you aren't ordering fried cheese stiks as the same time. LOL

Good luck. Like NewDay did, just keep repeating your new drink order over and over so it will just spill out when the time comes. D-7Up please!

          AF since 12/26/13

I always "missed it by that much!"

                Good example:
In high school I used to steal my Dad's unopened bottle of Everclear and replace it with a new one. Never thought about the price sticker being from a store my Dad would NEVER shop at.... or that the price tag amount kept changing! LMAO :H:H:H

                    Day 3 begins.

So I made it through dinner with the clients AF. I won't lie it was not an easy task. Very wonderful wines but I was able to pass.
I will admit I actually thought of having a sip. I figured who would know??? Not you guys, nobody but me would know.
What I am learning about myself through not drinking is that it is about disciplining your mind.
I have never been very good at saying no to things that were not good for me and also I have never been good at motivating myself to doing things that are good for me. (running, exercise, eating small portions, eating healthy, picking healthy relationships). You get the point.
So by not taking that sip of wine was a way for me to say NO to what is not good for me and to reinforce what is good for me.

So as always I thank you all for your support in this endeavor to remain AF.

Tomorrow is day 4 and I have been AF 7 out of the last 8 days. I am now aiming for 7 days in a row.

                    Sleep well

                    rednose :l:thanks:

                      Day 3 begins.

ask for lemonade in a small glass with a lime so looks like your other drink?
If drinking is interfering with your work, you're probably a heavy drinker. If work is interfering with your drinking, you're probably an alcoholic.
