    Day 13

I guess I missed a day today .today is actually
    Day 13. Yahoo.
Stuck at my sisters with about 31 inches of snow
    And it is still snowing.
Feeling good no cravings.. Still AF.
Not going to get to see any friends. Maybe that's
A good thing. They all would want to buy me a beer.
Ok god you can stop the snow. I am not going
    To drink.

Hope you are all doing well and AF.

Thanks for this site and great people.

If you think your friends would bring you booze, maybe it really is divine intervention.

Sorry to hear that it's still snowing. I guess you'll get to enjoy a little family togetherness on this trip. :H

            Day 13

            Hi Red,

It's good to see you sticking to your plan. Hopefully you can dig out and get out and about. I'm currently nursing a very tired back after digging out from this storm, but I will sleep well tonight - focusing on the positive.

                Day 13

Hi all,I spent most of the day snow blowing and shoveling snow.
It felt really good to be outside in the cold weather and working in the snow.
Needless to saw I am wiped out tired and ready for bed early.
It felt good to be helpful to my sister and her husband.
It just plain feels good to be useful and alcohol free.
My other sister arrives tomorrow and we will all spend the day with our mom.
                So grateful to be AF..
As always that you all for the support.

Tomorrow will be the start of day 14 for me. Feeling proud of that.

Red I am so proud of you! And your body is thanking you too.

"It feels good to be useful and alcohol free." So simple, yet so true. When I was drinking I stayed in bed most of the morning, trying to sober up to get ready for working the night shift. When it was the last possible minute I'd get up, shower, and go. Come home from work and start the drinking. That was my life. Now there is so much more. And to be able to be totally present while being with your family is a gift that you couldn't fully appreciate if you were drinking.

Today must be Day 14 for you. Congratulations!
