    Nursie's Recovery thread

    Way to go Nursie!

Those of us on Antabuse have a little expression: TTDP (Take The Damn Pill)....just take it and then you don't have to waste any time even thinking about drinking! I realized yesterday that I hadn't taken one since last Friday so I immediately took 2 last night and one this morning. I need the assurance that it's in my body. Having the option to drink completely removed definitely decreases the stress.

Hang in there my friend, and remember: TTDP! LOL

Nursie-I'm so happy for you. I understand the mind games completely. Good luck.

        Hi Nursie and everyone,

        A question.

Are there any side effects, or negatives when taking antabuse, such as any nausea or tiredness etc? K9? Just curious, thanks.

Wishing you a happy and positive AF day Nursie.

          Thanks guys,
          TTDP-Got it! Thanks K9.

G-bloke, I'm interested in the answer to this as well. I didn't feel any side effects, except I feel like I keep forgetting what I was going to do...like I walk into a room and stand there like "what did I come in here for?" Not sure if it's related to the antabuse or not...

So, today is Day 14 for me!
It's been a long but rewarding two weeks, as I climb out of my polluted mind and rediscover my energetic and healthy self. So far, I still feel emotional ups and downs. My dreams are vivid and numerous. I have lost some weight. My family is happy and healthy with me able to be on top of things. I feel like the woman of the house again in my proper place. I'm cleaning and cooking again. So I must say, this sober life is the life that's meant for all of us. And we deserve it!

Love, peace and chicken grease! Happy Sunday!
