    Cleanse, cleanse, cleanse

I did a three day cleanse over the weekend and I feel amazing! Zero cravings y'all.
( I was struggling with some strong cravings last weekend) . I have so much energy, i ran for 50 mins non-stop yesterday. I usually run for 25-30. Take green smoothies while cleansing for optimum health and energy. Years of alc abuse fills the body with toxins which need special help to eliminate. Cravings can be a sign of toxicity.

Thanks for the message! I will plan a cleanse sometime soon. Sounds great! I am a runner/walker, and definitely need to get my energy back up for race season. A cleanse sounds like a lovely spring-cleaning kind of thing to treat myself with.

      Hey Lizker and Noname,

I think you are right about the toxins, Lizker. I haven't done an actual cleanse yet, but try to drink a green drink every morning. Green drinks alkalinize the system (a good thing) and are chock full of replenishing nutrients and anti-oxidants.

I think it is one of the things that helped me maintain my two years of sobriety, when I had it. That, and getting rid of sugar and processed food. It really did help with the cravings and I never felt better. I slipped in a weak moment and it all went downhill from there. Until 92 days ago!

I was also faithful about taking many of the supplements recommended by Joan Larson of "Seven Weeks to Sobriety", and also recommended here, too. Her approach is holistic and replenishing the vitamins and minerals lost with heavy drinking & stabilizing the blood sugar is a big part of getting and maintaining sobriety. I think I will look into a good cleanse. Thank you!

Both of you have a great day!

Almost free, I know what you mean by the alkalizing effects of green smoothies. I also take them most days
and they truly work. 92 days is awesome. I think something gets triggered in us when we start this journey to keep going. No matter how many times we stumble we always get back in the fight. This is my longest quit in over 10 years, 51days.

Nursie congrats on day 14. I did the Schiff 3-day internal cleanse system. It doesn't make you go to the bathroom like a colon cleanser. Its more of an organ cleanse .

You are not supposed to take activated charcoal with any herbs, vitamins, meds, etc. It absorbs them.
