    Cooking/takeaways

What are you going to be cooking this weekend?

What takeaway are you going to order this weekend?

Chinese, kebab, Indian, pizza, Italian, fish&chips,
Or perhaps you're going to cook a nice home made meal?

I'll start, I can't cook so it's chicken kebab with chilli sauce for me. :H

    What about you?

          Lasagna is super easy!

I'm not sure what I want to get into this weekend.

Over the past week I have made:

          crab and corn chowder
          minestrone
          lasagna
          tacos
          broiled chicken
          italian wedding soup
          veggie stromboli

My husband is gone, so I may just be relying on leftovers for a while.
Well it's all right now. I've learned my lesson well. You see you can't please everyone, so you've got to please yourself.

I think sushi will be the order of the day today. Definitely takeout. I've tried to make it myself, but the one fresh seafood store around here closed a while ago. I don't know if I'm ready to take the word of the 18 year old behind the counter of my grocery store that the tuna is sushi-grade. Plus the nori I can find is always too small. I may make some fresh hot and sour soup to go along with it, though.

I make it using smoked salmon as it's the most readily available raw fish around here. Would you not try that?

I'm making a roast pork today.
I LOVVEEEE to cook. I didn't cook for many months after my brother died, because it was too painful. He loved my cooking and I cooked for him every day after his motorcycle accident. So after this accident that took his life, I wished I could still cook for him and heal him.
Anyway, I am cooking again, and now that I am sober (woo!) I plan out my menus for the week. I add it to the chore chart and task list for the week that I keep on my refrigerator (again, woo! for being sober!) or that would never happen.
So I do meatless Mondays, Taco Tuesdays, wacky wednesdays, Thick and Juicy Thursdays and Free Fridays. Savory Saturdays and Saucy Sundays.
Today is Saucy Sunday, so I'm roasting the pork, and then making it into pulled pork with a yummy BBQ garlic sauce. Maybe some sweet potato french fries to go along with it.
                  Day 1 again 11/5/19
                  Goal 1: 7 days :heartbeat:
                  Goal 2: 14 days :happy2:
                  Goal 3: 21 days :happy2:
11/27/19: messed up but back on track
12/14/19: bad doozy but back on track

                  One day at a time.
