    Cessation: Pot

i totally think pot has a place...where i live it's legal, so no worries there, but i don't smoke it personally because i know it will send me down that slippery slope. it sounds like you are doing fine with your way of stopping drinking by using it.
pot definitely has a place medicinally, it just needs to be used appropriately and sparingly...more power to you.

Superscrew....my defensive comment was not towards you.

I totally have watched people who get high all day. Although I have met the people who had serious drinking issues use this a method to stay off the drink. Have a toke or two and are fine the rest of the night.

      I don't smoke pot.....tried it and I don't like it.

I think when it comes to drugs we all react differently to each. I am grateful to say that I never really tried the harder stuff....because I have read how much more painful those are to get off of.

AL seems to have a huge following of problem drinkers.....because it is not seen as a drug.

I have to watch my caffiene intake....and yes....its a drug I get anywhere. Literally.

I think anything we put into our bodies is a drug - even food. I think anything in moderation won't hurt most people.

I don't smoke nicotine. I don't do recreational drugs (never have). I'm not a caffeine addict or a sugar fiend. I drink alcohol to excess. Well, I used to. I'm trying to quit.
Well it's all right now. I've learned my lesson well. You see you can't please everyone, so you've got to please yourself.
