    Newbie needing advice

    Hi Lostsoul

Having read this post in 3 other areas I thought I'd say congrats on the job interview and best of luck with it. Perhaps you were feeling you didn't get the replies you needed and felt posting a few times might lead to extra encouragement?

I wish you well with your tapering and you seem to be doing better in your outlook. That's a positive and you should be glad you've managed a few AF days. Keep it up!

Spotlessmind, thank you. I was really confused about where to post and how to read replies. Still learning how to navigate the site. The job interview was postponed and I am thankful for that because today is my worst day yet. Going to stick with it and know it can only get better from here. There is no going backwards. Thanks again for reaching out

        Hi Spotless,

I am alergic to sulfa/sulphur also and have NO problems with Antabuse. I wouldn't write if off quite yet if I were you....

I am so sorry about your fish. We had two 5 cent goldfish that lived for over 5 years. My daughter named them Jessie and James. Anyway, one day Jessie died, and the next day James died of a broken heart (I'm sure of it). I cried over those two for about a week! I get so attached to animals. Imagine how I reacted when my beloved Cocker Spaniel died last July...BUT...I did NOT drink...it wouldn't have solved anything.

Great job on getting through the craving. Each time you do, you get stronger and the alcohol beast gets weaker!
:heart:I love my daughter more than alcohol:heart:

Believe in yourself. You are stronger than you think.

          Hey Spotless

I agree with K9. After some research it seems that a sulphur issue is not a contraindication for antabuse.
