It's great you're going to see the doctor. At least we know now today that it IS a disease and not because we are horrible rotten people who can't exercise any self control. My doctor was very up front about the fact that because alcoholism is rampant among both sides of my family that most likely I am genetically predisposed, but it's still my own fault I let it get this out of control.
