    Worst I've ever been

Joe, I would encourage you to talk with a doctor or psychiatrist. After a consult, the two of you together can determine which meds would be most effective for you.
In the middle of my life's journey, I found myself in a dark wood, as I had lost the straight path. It is a difficult thing to speak about, how wild, harsh and impenetrable that wood is. Just thinking about it recreates the fear. It is scarcely less bitter than death, but in order to tell of the good that I found there, I must tell of the other things I saw there. --Dante, paraphrased

Problem is I don't have the medication yet! Duh :argh:
Naltrexone is not an excuse to drink, but I know what it's like as an alcoholic looking for any reason to allow yourself to drink.
I used the Sinclair Method to beat my alcoholic drinking.

Drank within safe limits for almost 2 years

        Worst I've ever been

        Hi Joe

I agree with Kuya there is not enough hours in the day when sober ;0) since I've quit I read tonnes, watch great movies, exercise, play scrabble!! Before I just drank wine and slept. My drinking was out of control so I had no choice but to quit, but I did totally worry about socialising and yes there have been tough social occasions but overall I feel better. Use excuses with people you don't know that well or colleagues health is always a good one.
But when ou get more confident you will be happy to say you just don't fancy it.
Take it a day at a time xx
