Kradle thanks for posting I am your disease, it was so true, when you can relate to sooooo many of the posts from others on MWO , it is a truly awakening experience, and I realize how much in denial I was in regards to AL, my subconcious knew I had a problem, but I was continually making excuses which explains my start/stop/start/stop pattern that I repeated for Years. I loved that wretched party guy for way too long, but now I have found someone I love even more..ME! And a sober Me on top of that...

Hi,
It's amazing...I have been coming up with nice dinner recipes lately and doing dishes after ( rather than hurrying off to "bed") for hubby. He appreciates it.

He's actually started doing nice things for ME and I don't have to ask. (As you know he doesn't know I had a relationship with creepy AL). Putting hubby first instead of creepy AL is basically saving my marriage as well as my health. DUH, what took me so long?????

You're right, Jennie! We don't want Free to think we gave up just because she is enjoying a 2 week vacation and didn't invite us to come along :H !

I know people are busy and stuff. Lord knows I am, too. Since AL is gone there is so much to do...like eat, sleep, work, read, garden, clean house, hubby time, cats time, friends time, cook,...........

I'm sorry I wasn't here when you raised your glass of delicious sparkling water......That is one drawback of MWO.....

I don't have much time to spend on my computer this weekend, unfortunately, because my father in law is visiting us from Florida. we haven't seen him in 6 years (he hasn't seen his grandchildren in 6 years!!!) Needless to say, the relationship is strained and uncomfortable.....my poor husband.....but we are pushing through.

today he wants to go into New York City and go to the World Trade Center memorial. I think he must forget how involved we were with that event. My husband was caught up in the building collapses and I spent the day not knowing if he was dead or alive. I had LOTS of business colleagues that died that day. So, it is very emotional for us and not something either of us wants to do. But my husband is putting on a false smile and going along with it because I think he feels guilty that it has been so long since we have seen him. But there you go, the thought that this would be difficult for us has not even crossed my father in law's mind.

Anyway, I ramble. I will try to post later. It will be a long hard day and I am gearing myself up with all my ammunition for when the urge to drink comes ..... I know it will!! These kind of stresses are exactly what drove me to drink in the first place.
