LOL again. I just bought a tablet and have been downloading books from my library and Amazon. And you're right...it makes it hard to stay focused on one at a time. bahahaha! I have never been a quilter but I have known many, and they amaze me. What patience and attention to detail. Oh NS - thank you. I'm going to make it through another night. THANK YOU!

Moss, so sorry to barge into your thread. I wanted you to know how much your kind words mean to me. I have been struggling to post all week, thinking, just let someone else do it....I know these people are sick of hearing me, I should step aside and let others do it....but today, there wasn't a lot of others posting, so I did. I'm also slowly getting back into my craft work I'm thinking about the next quilts I have to make
I have a nearly 3 yr old grandson and a 6mth old plus 2 more on the way and usually I do some sewing for them but they have dipped out so now I plan to do 4 activity quilts (zippers , buttons, laces etc )
did get part of a pattern out but usually add my own designs and ideas......actually looking forward to starting

Witts - that sounds so wonderful. I'm in awe of people who can sew and quilt. I would love to see pics. Maybe we should start a new forum - "crafters corner" or something like that. It does seem like many of us pick up old, discarded yet beloved hobbies when we get sober.

It is such a good night. My friend and coworker who had the heart attack last Friday at work is actually recovering. After two failed attempts to wean her from the vent, she actually made it off. Not just that but she is awake and talking. Thankfully, she remembers nothing of that awful day. But it is a miracle and we are all so thankful. Just wanted to report good news for a change.

Tonight's menu - another one of my grandma's great depression recipes...chicken and dumplings. I just can't seem to stop eating. LOL. But it's all good.
