Hey Guys....we are doing great! It does feel good not to have a hangover but I must admit, I was tired and cranky today. I guess that comes with the territory. I'm looking forward to Day 6 tomorrow and heading to the gym super early.

Mama Bear....I know what you mean about vacation. We are heading to the gulf coast of Florida and while I am looking forward to the get away, I am a little worried. I will have 30 days under my belt by then but I don't think I really want to try moderating. I'm afraid it will take me down the bad path again. My husband and I traditionally drink on vacation...watching sunsets with wine, etc.....this will be the first vacation that I can remember that will be AF. I don't want to spend my vacation consumed with thoughts of drinking/not drinking......

Anyway, hope everyone has a great evening and will talk to you guys tomorrow.

Life, which is full of hassles, is SO MUCH BETTER without AL so imagine how fabulous a vacation, which is pretty great anyway, will be without passing out early, being hung over in the morning, wasting money, not wanting to play with your kids, not remembering every moment, etc.

Maybe this will be your best vacation ever! There is no reason it should matter if what is in your glass isn't the same as in your husband's (don't you drink different kinds of wine anyway ??? :H). Plus, the additional awake and alert hours you can have this time will make the vacation seem longer - and how great would that be? !

What a great post!!!!! MamaBear, my vacation is at the end of the month and I am already catching myself projecting negatively!!! But NS's post truly helps me alter my thought process. It really is just a matter of attitude. It is so very simple yet can be so very hard if you let it. Have a FANTASTIC time.

When ever i go on holiday i always drank less if at all as i always think that you have saved a long time for this luxury and i always wanted to make the most of my days which was not spending half the day in bed when you could be out and about exploring the country or place you have decided on staying in
Well comming to the end of day 5 had a little wobbly moment when i got in from work but quickly made myself a cup of coffee and relaxed then the wobbly moment was over.
Bring on day 6
Just remember that craving will only last for as long as you want it to, make yourself busy and set your mind on something else
Together we will make it to the end of june xxxxx
If that seems to far away just concentrate on 7 days at a time xxxxx

Thanks guys for giving me a different perspective on vacation. You are absolutely right....this could be the BEST vacation I've ever had. My husband is also prepared to go AF, if that will make it easier for me so I am lucky to have the support.

Good Day June-ers.

As the excitement and success builds around here for June to be AF, I am getting excited about the fact that I am finally losing weight.

I kept losing and gaining the same 2-3 pounds for a couple of months after losing 10 the first month AF, now I have lost 4lbs in 3 weeks....and keeping on the "OTHER SIDE" of 150lbs. Yippie!!!!!

Keep up the efforts to continue to kick creepy AL's butt. You'll really like it being AF.

Start of day 6 for me and i cant wait to come here and say its day 8 as Friday nights is normally my " lets get out of my face night" but NO more while i am at the shops instead of buying myself beer as my weekly treat i am going to buy myself some new clothes or make up although i wont be saving money but at least i will be saving myself
