June free from AL
Its day 6 for me. I made it through the week and Friday night, surrounded by AL, without a drink. Feeling very proud of myself. Its because of MWO and the support I continue to get along with all your incredible stories and our raw honesty that makes this process so much easier.
I know I can do this, we all can.
Happy Saturday to all!!

goodmorning!!
another tough day yesterday at the vet....my poor dog tyson is very very sick and, as our vet put it, he is in his 9th inning with only 2 outs left.....he is only 5 years old and since we rescued him 2.5 years ago he has had cancer, been through chemo, has had digestive issues, horrible ear infections, horrible gum infections, 4 teeth pulled.....that is just what I can remember. His immune system just doesn't work. Now his belly is filling up with fluid...sorry....i am probably grossing everyone out. We love our tyson very much. He is so sweet and loving.....when I bring him to the vet he literally stands on my feet and leans against me the whole time. When we go anywhere, his eyes lock on mine to make sure I don't go out of his sight. So I am spending the weekend cuddling with him and trying to make him comfortable.
I would not be there for him if i were drinking...if I were drinking, it would be ALL about ME.....sober, i can give myself to my poor boy.....I just won't anymore

Jenniech, sorry to hear about your tyson, it is very hard I know, my husband has only cried three times in his life and once was when his dog died. Sleeping better for sure, just trying to make it through the summer, when the rare sunny day we have, the patios are packed with everyone having cocktails...Will make it through though because I know it is the best place to be, Alcohol Free!On a mission, and the only option is success. My family and I deserve a better life, an AF life.:h

Hey Juners....seems like we are all going well. Day 24 here. I have to say last night was an awful struggle. I managed tovget through it but it was tough. I honestly didn't want to drink but was having a craning.....very confusing.
Hopeu everyone has a relaxing Sunday night!

That is EXACTLY the problem I keep having. Not wanting to drink but having a craving.....So, I chalk it up to my body not quite adjusted yet to AF life. I mean, I DID drink HEAVILY for many many years so I don't blame my body for being confused.
The important thing is, my mind says NO because I think it through...I visualize the results of what would happen if I did pick up. Definitely not worth it.
Good job in not listening to those cravings!!!I just won't anymore
