Sending you some hugs free :l, felt like a drink today but have decided to replace AL beverages with hugs :H

How many times do you hear people say, "I really need a drink", I have decided to respond to these remarks with, " Oh no you don't, what you really need is a hug! Take care free!

This is such a great way to think about this, Halo! I hope I have a chance to give a hug to someone who thinks she needs a drink and it makes her no longer think she does.

"Hugs not Drugs" could be on your bumper sticker .

Cyber-hugs to you, Free, not because I think you want a drink but because you're far from home doing tough but important work :l.

Ditto Free. Hope you are on a flight home, stretched out in Business Class with a frosty soda and lemon.

                  Hi all,
Just now getting a decent internet connection -- thanks to all for thinking of me. I'm good, exhausted from intense travel, and now in East Africa. A few more days of work and then I am home. Your support means so much to me. Probably won't post on other threads today, couple of long days of travel.

                            On becoming joyfully AF

                            Hi guys,
Finally got another decent connection. It has been a rough trip -- I think 20 days so far, three countries, four hotels, ten work dinners, some intense interactions, visa issues getting into country, phone stopped working, and minimal internet connections. Broke down on the weekend and had some wine over dinner. I had not taken my AB in over a week and the road weariness just became too much. Am not beating myself up over it -- am pleased that I have come this far on my AF journey, given the obstacles in my journey. Rather, I view it as talking a slight diversion down the wrong path. I will say that I am more committed than ever to living an AF life. This constant road warrior work environment is not healthy for me, especially as I work to maintain my sobriety.

Need to get ready for a long work day that will involve yet another work dinner. Will be back in the USA later this week and will be able to post more.

Finally, lesson learned. When things get stressful I need to take AB more frequently.

                            Onward in this AF journey.

(Dashing this off, because the internet here keeps going out and this is my second effort to post).

It will be so good when you are able to be at home, Free, and have a break from the constant pressure. Just a couple of days now!

I know you're disappointed but this tells me you'll be ok and that a diversion isn't going to change your ultimate destination:

Good luck with the last couple of days of this trip. I'm looking forward to hanging out with you again when you've got the time and energy for MWO :l.
