Independence! An AF July
Gardener, check in as often as you can, even just to post a "hi", after listening to many senior members who have ALOT of AF time on their hands, one of the reasons that contributes to their success is to post, read and post some more. I am taking their advice and it is definitely working for me. Time well spent I say. Enjoy your independence from AL this coming weekend!
Last straw, awesome work, use whatever ear muffs you can to block out those horrific AL voices, and together we can take AL down! Don't even think to mess with us!On a mission, and the only option is success. My family and I deserve a better life, an AF life.:h

Happy Independence Day everyone!
Beagle, laststraw, I also love produce from the garden! That bell pepper sounds delicous!!
What I love about today is that I will not be blurry, foggy, tired and bloated with AL, I will instead be sharp and clear and I'll remember the fireworks!!
Hope you all have a fantastic AF July 4th!

Hello ! I have always wanted to learn to garden, however I have actually had cactus' die under my care (I'm not joking!). Can anyone recommend a really good beginner gardening book for me??? I am an avid cook and would love to start growing some of my own produce. The peppers and tomoatoes sound wonderful. Still AF and am determined to have an AF July! :goodjob: everyone! On a mission, and the only option is success. My family and I deserve a better life, an AF life.:h

Cactus - probably too much water. LOL. I thought about growing cactus...so beautiful...but my cats would get stabbed so I deleted that idea.
Hmmm. Easy to grow is Marigold, a flower which helps keep bugs away. And the seeds resprout each spring with water on them like you'd water the grass.
We just put seeds in the ground, water, protect a bit, stake a bit and the food grows. It's weird, but it happens.
You can buy sprouted plants, expensive....hubby likes to grow from seeds.

Hi all, quick check in to let you know all is well with me. Actually had two relatively "short" days of work (only 9 hours!) so was able to exercise, eat a proper meal, and do some yoga. Life is good.Free at Last

Independence! An AF July
Hello everybody!
We've had two rainy days here -hoping today will have some sunshine. I have been lazy the past couple days. Last night went to a "comedy" play in town - it wasn't great - in fact it was so bad that my husband and I got more laughs out of talking about the stupid parts than we did in the play! Oh well, that was entertaining at least!
Free - sorry you've had to work so much. Glad you had some shorter days in there.
Lastraw - that applesauce sounds delish!
I'm off to get a morning walk on the beach before the heat sets in.
Wishing everyone a wonderful AF day.

Hi MyLife, thanks for the sympathy about my long hours but since I am a consultant, I take the work when I can get it because there are also dry spells. This trip I will be away 18 days. Five and a half days to go and I am home. Happy to report another AF day for me.Free at Last
