    :goodjob: that was good work. The al industry sure makes it appealing. No matter how you wrap up that poison, that's what it remains. Poison.
    I am not drinking today.
    No matter how far you go or how fast you run, you can't get away from yourself. ....said at an AA meeting. It stuck with me.

        Hi everybody & happy Sunday!

        Tink & Gardner I think we are al 14 days today because is July 14th and we all started on the first...
        Unles this is like Chinese birthdays where the kid is automatically a year when they are born...

        Well..13 or 14 ...not that important in the long run as we are all in this together and together not driving today. :h

        Gardner, :goodjob: on Walking out of the store. I see the same thing here at Fostco and I just think about what those people are going home to with their bottles and bottles of wine and such...some them I suspect are not going home to healthy happy times, no matter what the advers tell us. :l

        Tink, eat cookies and hot peppermint tea...this is what I do and kills the craving instantly. I know sugar is a no no but Ina pinch....

          Hey Beagle - Dang right, it is poison, glad I didn't take any this weekend, thanks for the good job, I feel like I did a good job!

          NS - You crack me up, and yep, it's definitely still a pig!

          Hey Kradle - I count my days beginning with July 1, my start date, but I have to go the full night of the 14th before I count it as that would have been when I would be drinking, so on July 15th, I consider myself 14 days AF. No matter, if I get to hang around with you guys, it doesn't really matter, we are all in this together, and we are definitely getting out of this alive!

            I'm not drinking today! So glad I made it through the weekend, that was tough, and I know there will be other situations to conquer.

            Thank you MWO posters for helping me to be strong. Whenever I read posts on here I always leave with a little more resolve to stay AF!

              Hi All,
              Thanks Gardner for kind words of reassurance, also NS, and team player Kradle for all kind word, really makes a difference when your having a down day.

              Woke up AF and happy this morning to a beautiful sunny day. Can't believe we're all on day 14 already.

              Was reading lots of links last night, on this site, excuse earlier spelling mistake, and found one under general which was going in depth into amino acids, really interesting. So upped my l-glutimin, feel strong today and looking forward to big salad, sweet potato chips and home made burgers alfresco. Of course all washed down with sparking water and lime.

              Thanks again everyone and well done.

                Does the L Glutamine help with cravings? How does that work, do you know?

                  Your brain can metabolize glutamine, which apparently helps with the cravings (that are, of course, in our heads!). I found it more useful when I gave up sugar a couple years ago but it can work with AL, also.

                        Thanks NS - think I'm doing OK here for now. Seems like my cravings hit when I have a trigger moment.

                        Way to go Hadit - congrats on 14 days AF, that's 14 days AF for me too!

                              Hey everyone, I'm not going to drink today!!!

                              Beagle - glad to know you have a bumper crop of cukes, dang rabbits have eaten every seedling I planted this year. I gave up. Tomatoes, green beans, zucchini, squash, bell and jalapeno peppers galore. Every herb imaginable in my garden this year, loving this rain we are having.

                              I don't pickle oddly, but love to eat cukes fresh with onions and vinegar dressing.
