I love Vegemite. I got hooked on it when I live in Korea from my Aussie expat friends.. but, I need a real Aussie to explain 'Vegemite'. I've got 3-1lb jars just in, and I broke the first seal today on jar number one.. yummy stuff.

GG The explanation is on the front label.
Right underneath where it says VEGEMITE. It is a yeast extract.
It is vegetarian.
No animal has been slaughtered to make it, so that's a good start.
Marmite or vegemite.... depends what you are used to.
Vegemite users dislike the taste of marmite (me included) and vice versa.
Same with Milo drinkers (yum) and Ovaltine (yuk) drinkers, Bovril or Bonox.
Our super sensitive noses and tastebuds are very choosy.

Post stuff like this in GENERAL rather than this section. I don't think new people looking at this siite would grasp the association between their desperate need for help and a post on vegemite.
Not against happiness. Just that threads like this push the other threads down where people may be crying out for help.
Milo contains 3 times as much caffeine as coffee. It isn't on the label. I rang Nestles. That's why when you give it to children to put them to sleep it doesn't work.
PS: There's no apostrophe in Aussies as it is a collective noun.
