LLL good to hear things are looking a little brighter today. Your dogs sound like fun and I bet they loved their walk. I think fresh air and exercise is under-rated and therapeutic!

We did it!!!!! We left the house and went for a walk!!!! I'm so excited!!!
I discovered I have some work to do with my boy though, lesson to anyone with an anxious dog, if deciding to buy an electric fence, research how to gently introduce the dog to the fence. I now have a 30 kg dog that shakes and doesn't want to walk near a fence!! Would have been funny for the council worker to see since I had to pick up my big sook, take to a seat where I had to cuddle him and rock him to calm him down!!!! Seriously, people think he will eat them and he's terrified of fences?!?!?

LLL - Hope you are hanging in there. You have definitely been having a difficult time. So glad you are staying strong and not using AL to self-medicate for the anxiety. We both know that never works, just makes it worse. It sounds like you are finding positive and healthy ways to cope. Thinking of you. xo

Glad you are feeling better today. Don't let yourself get down. You have friends who care.No matter how far you go or how fast you run, you can't get away from yourself. ....said at an AA meeting. It stuck with me.

Sorry guys, I found a new doc on Saturday and she's changed my meds but I finally saw a psychologist last night and she said this new medication will make me feel anxious the first few days so I'm hanging on tight!!! IM SO SICK OF ANXIETY!!!
I have English Bull Terriers and they are complete but bags that have to smother people and do stupid tricks to show people how they have to be the centre if the universe!!!
Witts- my neighbour has a little foxy and they don't have a fence, they have little pickets around the yard and a collar that gives the dog a zap if he goes outside that area, I've seen them on a few properties around here, they must be perfect for smaller dogs!!!
I'm AF without any worries, I guess I'm just going to ride through this emotional exhaustion thingy and hope I start feeling happier soon!!!
Hope everyone else has been hanging in there, I've got some reading to do, time to catch up on what you guys have been up to!!!

LLL - So good to hear from you, but sorry to hear you are dealing with anxiety. Hopefully, the new meds will help. And, thankfully you were warned about the possible side effects by your psychologist, otherwise you may have thought you were going crazy. It is odd that so many anti-anxiety meds have the opposite effect at first. Stay strong and hang in there. I'm praying you are able to get a good night's sleep soon. It will make everything better.
All this talk of dogs is making me think seriously about adopting one. I don't have any animals right now for the first time in almost 30 years, and it feels weird and lonely. My stb-ex husband got our lab in the divorce and moved to another state so I never see her anymore It's sad too, because she was part of my life for 12 years.
However, I recently moved to a pet friendly apartment complex and there are dogs everywhere. I have always had a fenced yard so this would be a new pet-owning experience. But it would force me to get some exercise by walking my pup a few times daily. It's summer here now, so it sounds like a great idea. However, I can't help but think about winter and those -10 degree winter nights when the winds are blowing and it feels like -30 and the dog needs to go out at 2 am. I hate the cold. LOL.
How many Terriers do you have?
