    Alcohol Free August

Yeah UKBlonde for turning down the wine!

Good morning everyone. Day 3 for me. went to the gym. My husband and I are both off today to run errands. We had a bit of an argument this morning so I headed to the gym to work out my frustration. It helped.

Here is to another beautiful AF Day!

      Alcohol Free August

      Hi all,
A quick note to let you all know I am off for an extended consulting gig. Will be gone 3+ weeks with sporadic electricity, let alone internet connection. Will post when I can. Keep up the good work everyone -- we all know our lives are better without pumping poison into ourselves. Best wishes,

Day 5 AF. Going on an all-day goof-off day with the gf. I would DEFINITELY have gotten drunk on our outing if not for committing to this 30 day stretch.

Good job, SBL -- I bet your GF appreciates having you fully present on your day together. You can do this.

Quick checkin between flights -- it's seltzer water and lemon (no limes) for me.

                    Hi, Jenniech!

I was hoping we would hear from you with your sons off at camp and you living a life of leisure... :H.

Are you enjoying your new job as boss or is it a ton of work?

Anyway, I just wanted to let you know I'm thinking of you and miss you :l.

Day 6 AF. Had a bad dream that I woke up at 1pm hung over and late to work, scrambling to tell a lie to why I was late. Then I really woke up and was relieved that it was just a dream and I was not hungover or late.

Excellent work my life getting the monthly thread started... Joining late but would like the help to have August AF! Have been drinking becks non-alcoholic beer and virgin moijitos this summer, still having urges to drink ALOT but know that is a path of disaster. One of my BF is getting married at the end of the month, am determined to remain AF at her wedding. Miss the mwo and all the supportive people on this site. Wishing everyone welll!
On a mission, and the only option is success. My family and I deserve a better life, an AF life.:h

Miley, don't beat yourself up about having too many Day 1"s . The best part of where you are is that you know you need to quit, and that is your decision. You have been able to face your truth and are getting the help you need. With all of your perseverance, you will be successful! Very proud of your determination.:l

Great to have you back, Halo. Hope you had a wonderful holiday. I posted on the July thread that I thought you were so smart to become AF while still in your 30s. It was in my 40s that my drinking really started to escalate to the point of addiction. Glad to hear you are doing so well.

So glad you're back, Halo, and that despite the availability (and desirability :no of a drink, you've stayed the course that is best for you.

You're just past 5 months AF, right? (311 gang?). I have read several posts all over MWO that for some people, the desire for alcohol takes awhile to go away so don't despair! I don't think it will always be a struggle :l.
