Hi there,
been here and back so many times and then more. Had 3 years sober and then made a dodgy business decision 8 months ago by taking on a partner (partners are only for dancing!!) and started drinking again - last couple of months the drinking has been getting worse and worse and worse...2 days sober now and just want to STOP. figigirl good to see you're back on track. One day at a time.
The best advice I can give is make sure you have lots of good AF drinks on hand, delicious food and plenty of snacks. Eat all you want, your body will crave sugar. Sleep if you need to, hibernate if that helps. If telling someone will keep you accountable then by all means find someone you trust and open up. Checkout the newbies nest and the toolbox, the links are at the bottom of my post.
Most of all embrace this day. It is an exciting new beginning. Your life will change for the better each day you're away from AL.
Stick close and post lots. We are here to help.Newbies Nest

Welcome Fiji Girl,
In addition to the Newbies' Nest, there is a group of us working toward an alcohol free (AF) August. You are welcome to join in on that thread and get to know others working toward similar goals.
We all sought out MWO because we were concerned with our drinking. You are among people who get it. Welcome.Free at Last

Hi Figi Girl
You've done three years before, you won't have to wait another 3 years to feel that free again. As someone said here on my way out "it a journey not a one time event". If I have fallen in the past, the hardest part was always the stopping again and as many have testified before me each time it just gets harder. You have 2 days under your belt which is great in no time at all that will be 2 weeks and you can look back at this relapse as a lucky escape. Post every day and good luck.

I know how you feel, I am starting again again!! Remember all the things you learnt when you were sober before ...... all the techniques and strategies for staying sober.... they are still there for you. Also focus on all you achieved in your sober times, the peace you felt, that is all still waiting for you!New life started on 1st May 2014, One day at a time I will work at continuing it forever!
