        What are the odds?

I agree. I am finally feeling better. I can actually work better with less sleep. My memory is getting better, also.
No matter how far you go or how fast you run, you can't get away from yourself. ....said at an AA meeting. It stuck with me.

BH- with you too. Twenty years ago I too smoked and quit cold turkey becausr the thought about causing all that damage to my lungs and risking cancer of my own doing freaked me out. Never correlated that to drinking and how much damage I was doing to my entire body with this addiction.
My cholesterol is high and have been experiencing atrial fibrilation. (Holiday heart is another name I've heard it called especially when due to drinking.)
Anyway, thanks for this post. Sure makes me grateful to not have caused anything irreversible and hoping the afib and cholesterol come under control the longer I stay af.
