I just wanted to say a big thankyou to all who replied to my post and give you and update. Social services visited today and were very happy that the situation was a one off, that i seem to be getting help for my problem and that my son seems very well cared for and is otherwise in an extremely stable situation. They decided that there is no need for any further monotoring on me and i don't need any parenting classes so once she has written her report the case will be closed. I still feel a little shaken, embarrassed and extremely guilty about the whole sitation but i am sure that that will pass and as long as i stay AF (as I have been) I will be able to put this horrible situation behind me, just typing this is making me feel better, thanks again to you all for all your support and best of luck to all of you.
