    I like grapefruit La Croix sparkling water - no calories and fizzier than soda. It's in most US grocery stores.

      I like fizzy water, from the fridge, in a glass bottle, not plastic (don't know why but it feels better!) with ice and half a squeezed lemon juice, with a straw. Is it ok if I join your sugar free roll call

        Love to have you here, Spring. I think so many people could make this easier on themselves, not harder, if they quit the sugar right along with the alcohol!

              Hi, thanks nosugar, I'm on day 4 no sugar now, along with day 4 no alcohol and feeling fab! I'm eating lots of other things instead that I wouldn't usually have, cheese, etc so don't feel like I'm missing out (yet!) I've got a good book by Damon Gameau, its called "that sugar book" its really good and has recipes in the back.

                Great, Spring! It is important to eat well and enough because getting hungry can be mistaken for a craving for alcohol or sugar.glad you've got some recipes that sound tasty. Remember how good this feels :smile:!

                  One week SF! I made a rhubarb cake & substituted sugar for honey & it was great. And, kid approved!
                  I am also trying to drink at least a pot of green tea a day & somehow I think it might be calming my nerves? Not sure, but am sure I am feeling a bit less edgy the past couple of days.

                        1 week SF!
                        today I made some nut balls, they were really nice, you make them with dates, walnuts, cashew nuts, desiccated coconut, a little bit of vanilla essence and ground cinnamon. you just blitz all the ingredients together, add a bit of water and roll into balls onto desiccated coconut, they last for 2 week in the fridge or you can freeze then, they're really nice when you need something sweet but more natural, one's enough because they are quite filling with the protein from the nuts.
