Hi, thanks nosugar, I'm on day 4 no sugar now, along with day 4 no alcohol and feeling fab! I'm eating lots of other things instead that I wouldn't usually have, cheese, etc so don't feel like I'm missing out (yet!) I've got a good book by Damon Gameau, its called "that sugar book" its really good and has recipes in the back.

One week SF! I made a rhubarb cake & substituted sugar for honey & it was great. And, kid approved!
I am also trying to drink at least a pot of green tea a day & somehow I think it might be calming my nerves? Not sure, but am sure I am feeling a bit less edgy the past couple of days.(AF since 17 May 2014) 2 years 5 months sober

today I made some nut balls, they were really nice, you make them with dates, walnuts, cashew nuts, desiccated coconut, a little bit of vanilla essence and ground cinnamon. you just blitz all the ingredients together, add a bit of water and roll into balls onto desiccated coconut, they last for 2 week in the fridge or you can freeze then, they're really nice when you need something sweet but more natural, one's enough because they are quite filling with the protein from the nuts.
