well done Dutch, I love that peanut butter, I get the natural one too and I get a natural almond butter, its amazing. You can get it without any sugar here too.

I managed to keep off the ice cream too and instead of a mocha at work I took in some cinnamon to put in a coffee and it was lovely.

I made bread today with just a tablespoon of malt, a banana and 6 dates, it was lovely.

Day ten of no sugar for me. I have eaten peanut butter with apples as a snack for dessert which has really hit the spot. I am still hungry every night but I am practically eating paleo without the sugar and processed foods so my bodies getting used to running on peanut butter. The past two nights we did have a pizza, but that's a different battle. Going to try to make it 30 days.

I have definitely fell off the wagon with the no sugar thing. I made it about half a month, then started eating ice cream again. Yesterday I had two sodas, and I really enjoyed it too. No guilt regret or remorse. I don't like this because I feel more like drinking, I finally caved and had a soda after 5 months but now I want more, and it reminds me of alcohol. So other than l glutamine, what else can I take for cravings? I've concluded I was addicted to extra sugar long before the alcohol

Day 2, taking lots of l glutamine, I have had no cravings. It's amazing the difference it has made. I hope it's not placebo because I ordered a boatload of the stuff.

Day 4, I was so hungry last night I couldn't sleep. Woke up and ate so peanut butter because it has 2 grams of sugar per serving. I made it through the night. I have been eating Cheerios for breakfast but no other sugar during the day. Ian going to go back to eggs for breakfast and make a green smoothie with blue berries instead

I'm kicking ass Eloise. I am feeling so much better without the sugar, more energy, less irritable, mood stabilized without the bouncing blood sugar, it's great. The hard part is eating enough, I exercise a lot and have been only eating 1400-1600 calories a day, that's just not cutting it. The glutamine helps my cravings immensely, and since I exercise so much I take it all day long. I ate bottomless salad today at red robin, which is actually a thing. I missed the fries, but I am working hard to stay healthy and know it's a slippery slope. I'll look for your thread, but I really hope to maintain this new healthy lifestyle.

I do plan on starting a caffeine free thread after I get 30 days in. But honestly even with the drops in energy from coffee I barely feel it. I used to just drag ass everywhere, and at 27, that makes me feel awful. It's nice to have the energy a twenty something should.

                Just 13 days SF

Edit: and that's as far as I got. My wife told me today of thinking of getting on anti depressants. She said she hasn't felt happy since the miscarriage. I decided a bit of ice cream was better than the alternative, drinking. I hate the idea of her being that sad. Gonna try to avoid sugar more religiously though, save it for special occasions, like my wife saying she's horribly depressed haha XD

I am back in this struggle. I have been killing XL slurpees and drinking a mountain dew afterwards. My plan is hint fizz, a sparkling water that has no sugar, what the naturally flavored are I don't know, but it's gotten me to day 3 without extra sugar. I also have some stuff called fiber ft for my coffee, I think doing the treating at the end of the day is the problem, then I am so fed up I just want to down a Ben and jerrys pint. I am going to try and drink this water throughout the day.

Better than stressing about drinking AL at least

I am going to join you Dutch.
It is ice cream season after all. I don't know how much longer I can resist my husband constantly saying ' let's get ice cream!'

I'm hanging in here Eloise, I did have 5 grams of sugar in the cremer today but considering my daily total is just 5grams I am chalking up another victory. Drinking something carbonated has really helped take the pull of soda, and tomorrow will be 7 days without a slurpee, which is pretty good since later I have been killing them. Thursday I go in for our ultrasound for the new LO, and I am stressing. Hang in there!

oh wow! no wonder your a little stressed Dutch, a new LO.
I drink Spa rood, like San Pellegrino ... I feel like I had a substantial drink with that stuff. Probably kills my stomach though?
I am doing okay too, it is really hard in the beginning if you have been getting a lot of sugar. Not fun.
7 days without a Slurpee is great!! :sohappy:

I have an idea ... Why not have a fruit smoothie at breakfast? I dont add juice though.. too much sugar. Ice cubes work.
Our market even sells the ingredients pre measured... All I do is flip it in the blender.
Try pineapple in the smoothie.. they are really sweat. Eating a banana also satisfies my sugar cravings... Oranges too.
Glad you are sticking to it, me too. Am even starting to loose a little weight. Bonus!

You know I came up with this bizarre idea yesterday that I wanted a cigarette! Omg. I have never been a smoker, just lived with them. Somehow I wanted that smell? Crazy.
