    I am also back with a fresh start. You sound great! I am on day 1 and feeling very positive about this for the first time in months. This is going to be our time!!! Let's stick together on this :l

      Fresh Start!!!!!

      Hi all, I am also starting again. I was sober for 3 months and have been drinking for the past week. Nothing nearly as bad as the way things were when I first came here but nonetheless not the path I was on. I am hungover today, feel like crap but not going to let this take a toll on me. Planning to change this around one day at a time. Yucky AL.

            Fresh Start!!!!!

            Hi Starfish, Lost Soul and Scottishlass; I am sure you have guessed by my absence that I did not have an AF weekend. BUT, day 1 again and until it sticks.
            Going for a swim at lunchtime. I know from any past success that exercise plays a big part.
            Hope you all had a great AF weekend (unlike myself!!) and if not, just hop back in a start again!

I have had so very many day 1's, and so many good realisations of what I want, then I find I am back at same place again in spite of good intentions....Don't give up.....do you think you can have an AF weekend??? I will hang with you if you want to do it wth me???:l:l

                      Daisy, sometimes the initial start is hard. Take it one day at a time and stay close to here. We are all here helping each other.

                          I'm in the same place Daisy. Today will be my last Day 1. I am so ready to move on.

                          If (make that when!) I get to Monday and it's Day 3 already I think I will have the momentum I need to keep going. Making it through this weekend is really critical. Let's do it together! :l

                            Fresh Start!!!!!

                            So blew it! Totally caught me unawares ? went looking for water, found wine ? had a couple mouthfuls before even thinking! When I realized that I did not want to do this, the switch was on! The last two weeks have been hard, but I actually thought I was on to something and was winning ? let my guard down for 30seconds and that?s all it took ? so back on day 1 again. So very pissed at myself, and a crudy Sunday all over again?

                              Fresh Start!!!!!

                              I'm sorry, SL! I'm afraid I'm in the same boat, and utterly discouraged this morning. Somehow, I have to muster up the strength to make it through Day 1 yet again. Giving up is not an option. I'm just getting so tired of failing! I'm hoping that at some level I am finally ready to move past this crazy cycle of hope and defeat and just get on with living the life I dream about.

                                Fresh Start!!!!!

                                Hey people, I just realized there are a bunch of us who've been here a while off and on and are on our millionth Day 1. I feel like I've come to a great starting point this Sunday morning. While I did not get drunk last night I had a few glasses of red and spent time with a very drunk, pitiful, sobbing friend. Not easy to watch. I sometimes feel I drink just to keep other drinkers company.

                                Let's start afresh and move forward with determination and resolve. We can do this.
