Hi - my plans for this weekend have gone awry so far - just got in from grocery shop - broke one of my new rules not to go shopping after noon, but the morning got all mucked up - the store was packed, and horrid - but I made it out without wine - feel a little deprived just now (2:30pm) - but proud as well that I did it!
Star - don't leave - we have all been in tough spaces and not strong enough to stop drinking thru it, but we can support you. I know that I might have done better if I had stayed here more during my worse spells - I don't believe we are here to judge anyone, but here to support each other. I really think it would be good if you stayed with us. This si the only thread I sign onto daily because it is safe and supportive....we are here for whatever you need my friend:l:l

Well done Kailey - you sound very positive...and a week! Yahoo - now I wish I hadn't said sod it and added Saturday to Friday last week! Oh well, one more day....

SL, I remember you from a little itty bitty thread we posted on last year. That thread felt much like this one, kind of quiet, very supportive. It just felt right and the timing was right for me.

For those of you struggling right now, I want to look at my start date. 2007!!!! I knew I had a problem long before that but that's when I had a little bit of courage to start posting and admit I had a problem and I wasn't having any success "fixing" it.
My point, keep trying. You will start stringing days together. You will, I promise! It's not easy but it gets better and life without al is awesome!

Oh, you couldn't intrude! This is a great, supportive thread. I'm happy you found us here! For me it's a lot like the nest in that a lot of us are trying to get some momentum stringing some days together, but it's smaller and it's easier to get to know each other. I also really relate to the others on this thread who've been at this for a while!!

Ishy - yes, we were on that thread - these are the only sorts of threads I can manage, and I keep in my safe place
And like Ishy, I have been at this for a long time, and tried a few places before MWO - and see how many posts I have made - many, many of them have been day 1 starts!
Queen - we have a week!! Yah!!!
Good to see you ODAT and Star - I feel good at this moment in time and can help to try to cheer on the others - I know that I will need it in the fairly near future and have used an awful lot of support in the past - we all go in circles.:l
