Great job 4!!
Sometimes I say, "I'm going to start with a water, I'm really thirsty." Often times that's all it takes,before you know it you're halfway thought the night and no one seems to notice anymore.

Last night I went to a house warming party, I had that fleeting temptation but it passed. I gave myself permission to eat whatever I want. It keeps me busy and it keeps my hands full. Turns out I had a great time and I don't have a hangover. Win,win! It's interesting to watch normal drinkers and the maybe-not-so normal. I wonder how obvious I have been in the past? Hmm.

Hanging out with my kittens, they make it hard to get anything done! One is a lover and the other still needs to grow and fill out. I think they're 9weeks.

Hi Daisies - Busy getting ready for the holidays, so haven't checked in much lately. This is a really good time to paint your kitchen, right??? Not! But I did.

Good job 4TK, that's a notch in your belt there, next time will be easier.

K9, I love the GSD breed too. I had a shepherd as a child and got my boy 7 years ago, he is absolutely the best dog I have ever had, great manners and does most everything I tell him too, can be better than a man in some respects, LOL.

Some relatives coming in to town today, so now I'm cleaning, shopping and getting started on cooking a few dishes ahead, whew! No time to think about AL.

Ishy, SF, Dottie, Kailey, SL and Coco, and any other Daisies I may have missed, have a wonderful holiday.

You ain't kiddin' Gardner...I'll take a dog over a man ANY day! :H I love my cocker spaniel, he's such a love bug. He's scared of his own shadow, but he's so sweet. I hug him and kiss him and he just moans in pleasure (or maybe he's trying to escape? lol). The chihuahua on the other hand....she is a little 4 pound demon, but I force her to love me.

How are all the Daisies today? One more day of work for me then 4 days off! I am gonna lounge around, read books, snuggle the dogs, watch Netflix and generally relax. I'm not even gonna worry about any housework...that will ALWAYS be there.

What does everyone have planned?

Hi 4! How would drinking make Thanksgiving better for you? If you can think it through, then the feeling will pass. You'll realize that alcohol does not make you happy or sad, it only intensifies what you are already feeling. Can you distract yourself right now?

How is everyone doing today? It was hard to go back to work yesterday, but I managed, and here I am again today. I hope you all had enjoyable time off!

So last night I was talking to my daughter about my drinking days. She brought up how I used to vomit every night/morning. And also how one time I went out to get more beer (already wasted) and I was gone a LOOONG time. She was sitting on my bed crying, but when I got home I was too drunk to notice. THAT is why I don't let thoughts of alcohol linger...because that's the TRUTH of my drinking. It's not cozy and fun, it's hell. I always say that for me drinking isn't rainbows and butterflies, it's DUI's, handcuffs and a cellmate named Diablo!

Everyone check in...it's too quiet around here!

Day 3 i think it is for me. Feeling flat, had a bullting issue at work to which the solution was to take me off the roster (they need the other person more), so i've been trying to recover from that. Still feeling isolated and detached and waiting for my life to 'take off', yes, at the ripe old age of 44!

What does it take to get life going and become connected?

Not really much urge to drink, i'll plod through yet another day and see how i go

Uh...NO! Someone just asked me the other day why I don't have a man? I said "Because I'm a bitch". LOL :H Seriously, I am just too darn independent for my own good...but that's OK cuz I am loving being single right now! I'm old and set in my ways!

Keep plodding along Change...that's all any of us can do. Just get through THIS day as Byrdie says...that's all you gotta do!
