Halo - great post and a true wake-up call. I am so glad you are okay. Congrats on 5 days. I read your other post about AA and am thrilled that it is working out so well for you.

I too am thankful to still be alive. In addition to drinking enough AL to just outright kill me, I also put myself in some very dangerous situations while drinking...especially in my younger years. I look back now and realize that I must have a guardian angel because there is no way I should be here.

I'm with you! Not letting that "filthy murdering B*stard" back into my life ever!!
