Tons of money saved when not drinking. You won't believe this but my hubby and I only drink German beer here in the US which costs us $720 a month (if we don't go out to drink in which case it can well be $1000).
I also love to get restful sleep with dreams, not possible while drinking....

Waking up in the morning feeling refreshed after a PROPER nights sleep, and feeling sooooo good all day..

Also, no more broken promises to yourself, you know the kind, when you tell yourself you are not going to drink that night and you go to the shop on your way home from work and buy two bottles of wine...

Hey Bird, same as you re the sleeping. No more waking up at 2am, having a panic attack cause I'm sure all my organs are damaged from the alcohol, then not getting back to sleep cause sooooo guilty about what I'm doing. Day 3 today and best night's sleep last night for ages. Janice

No more conversations with my husband where he says "Don't you remember? We talked about it last night." I feel so small and ashamed, not to mention all that I've missed -- the hours and hours and days and days lost to "demon drink".

Sante...sooooo true for me too. I can tell when that is going to come out of his mouth now b4 he even says it. A shadow of a look, or that realization from him that is so fleeting. It is an automatic guilt trigger. Conversation topic immediately redirected.

To be able to use my brain well, and focus on my work all day. I'm sitting here at my desk and I'm so behind in my work but I can't focus no matter how hard I try!! Making me crazy!

Tomorrow will be better... as I'm not drinking tonight.

To not hide bottles. To not have to replace bottles I've finished off. To not have to dispose of bottles in ingeneous ways (like finding an out of the way trash recepticle).
