Multi-Quote How To (for us newbies)

Although I have been on the forum for almost 9 months, I never quite understood how the multi-quote worked. I found these instructions in the test area written by "Reggie" and I think I finally understand. I have never been accused of being the sharpest pencil in the drawer so I sometimes need things simplified. Anyway, I hope this helps someone else out.

    Following Reggie's instructions:

    1. For each post in the thread that you want to quote, click on the: ""+ button -the Multi-Quote button (lower right hand corner of post)

    2. The "multi-quote" button will change color to red (nothing else occurs)

    3. When you have finished selecting all the posts that you want to quote from, click on the "Quote" button (on any post) and this will place the quotes from each post that you selected into a new "REPLY" post that you can then edit each quote.

I also wonder if there is a way to quote only a portion of thread post before you press the quote button (quote button copies the entire post to your new post message and then you have to cut/paste) ??

You can delete any part of the text that you want to between these two character strings

    [QUOTE] and [ /QUOTE]

Just dont delete any of the characters or brackets on those two words....or it will mess up the quote and be harder to read/understand

Just for clarification purposes I put a space between the [ and the / that should not be there when you delete your text you dont want
