Giving Mr Al a good wacking !!

So good to see the number racking up and lots of positivity and amazing posts. I have been home alone the last couple of nights, which pre af would have been the green light to go on a binge and drink myself into a stupour. But not anymore been quite happy reading doing my thing and all with out my worst friend Mr Al. I am on 46 days now and not drinking has no become my way of life which I plan to maintain day by day and I know I must be ubber aware not to get complacent. Sending happy sober Thursday to everybody keep close and keep stong Mr Al is a sneaky little devil keep your af hammer to hand and whack him on the head good and hard if you feel him wisphering in your ear !!!

    Yes ma'am.
No matter how far you go or how fast you run, you can't get away from yourself. ....said at an AA meeting. It stuck with me.

Agree with LB. Poppy, I had to learn to live alone this last year and it was a big struggle. But, now I have learned to embrace that time. I spend it doing what I want to do now. Way to go on 46 days. Impressive.
Everything is going to be amazing

That is awesome! AL is a living, breathing entity that will try to entice you and act as a bully, as with every bully when they get bullied back they piss themselves and run. Keep it up!

Way to go, Poppy! Depending on the time of day and the international date line we are either quit buddies or I am one day behind. You keep whacking away and clearing the path (with Ava) - I'll bring up the rear. My first full day sober was 12/2/13.

Great to see you feeling and so strong!

Hi all yes it me Sugar feeling strong and very sober and sticking with it. We are Quit buddies Pav if I cant get to do roll call for a few days I always look at your number as know its the same as mine !!! so never think of slipping or you will mess me up good and proper on the count !!!!. I find being on here great if i do have alone down time and get a bit stuck what to do as there is always something good to read or a place just to start or join in a conversation and it so heartening to see your numbers rack up and look at the lesser number and realise your own soon builds up a day at a time !!!. What a crowd we are !!! the SAS Brigade !!! SUPER AND SOBER BRIGADE !!!!!!!
