Capricorn: As the alcohol leaves your system, you'll feel better in the AM...even if you don't always sleep through the night. Keep coming here. I'm on Day 3 AF & haven't dealt w/life so well in a long, long time. I'm confronting issues, standing up for myself, & generally acting like a fully functioning adult for the first time in a long time.
What works for me?
-Coming here even for short stints just to see how everyone is doing.
-Not keeping alcohol at hand.
-Not thinking of alcohol as a reward or "medication" for my stress.
-Dealing w/issues directly instead of trying to numb out.
-Remembering how rotten I feel when & after I drink.
-Remembering how great I feel when I racked up the AF days.
