well day three,so far so good . Dont know how i will go to night have to go down and pick up my dads ashes and things, really not looking forward to it. I am already thinking about which wine i am going to buy to get through this, hope i can just have a couple if i do.

Hi Chilli, sorry about your Dad. Mine died last year It was really hard on me. I was really close to him, more than to my mother. I drank alot after that and regret it. It only made things worse. My dad was a pretty big drinker, and partly to blame for his death. Maybe more than partly. He was diabetic and lost his legs and just went downhill fast. Drank even though he was diabetic. I know he wouldn't want me to follow in his footsteps because he loved me. I bet your dad would be proud of you if you took care of yoiurself too. I need to think of that more often. I sure hope it is not too late to show my kids there are other ways to do things. I will say a prayer for your strength. Buffy

Dear Chilli, I'm so sorry for your loss. You don't have to plan a drink to get through the stress but I understand if you do. I recently went through a loss and all I did was delay the grieving process by numbing myself with alcohol. ((hugs)) You can do anything you set your mind to.
