    Day 5 starts

So I made it through day 4 but it was a tough day. Really was craving AL.
I ate so much I thought I was going to burst and then I bought a pint of ice cream and ate the whole thing.

I started to think about how much sugar I was dumping into my body when I was drinking.
Whiskey with ginger ale or Vodka with tonic water. It is no wonder my body is craving that fix just from the sugar content alone.

On a side note. Since day one I have lost 8.5 pounds and I am eating everything in site...

I am ready for more cravings today. But I am not going there.

    Thanks for the support

    Grateful to wake up sober.

    Day 5 starts

Hi Rednose.. you are doing so great. Congratulations. Make sure you treat yourself for working so hard the last few days. Relax in a bubble bath, or go out for a coffee, have your nails done... anything for a pat on the back.
PS How did you get your mood changer to work... I click on mine and nothing happens.. ?? PM me if you have the secret LOL

      Day 5 starts

Rednose, just wanted to say welcome back and glad you are doing well! I have not been on this site for awhile either, but I am tired of relapsing over and over again too, so I will stick close. The cravings suck, but I find if I eat and find something to do they go away. Day 10 here and determined to stick with it this time. Best of luck to you and congrats on day 5!

Works every time. Like my friend's sponsor said, if you can drink after that, you're not an alcoholic, you're crazy.

          Day 5 starts

Way to go rednose. The 4th and 5th days are tricky cause the shitty feeling from day one is sort of forgotten. Keeling the cravings with food is a great idea (the only thing that worked for me).Hold on tight and don?t surrender. Cannot wait to celebrate your day 7 with you and see Byrdie moon you.:H:goodjob:

            Fleur,

Thanks for the support. I just click over the mood and choices pop up.
You need to be signed in for it to work. Otherwise I have n idea why it is not working

              Day 5 starts

              Red Nose,

I've lost most of my muffin top, too... I guess giving up a bottle of wine a night is a great diet plan.

Ice cream, ice cream, ice cream. Lots of water. No idea why, but it helps.
After tonight , you've cleared a huge obstacle.

I'm proud of you- stay with your dog pack. roud:

Looking forward to you adopting a new log-in name, like Bright Eyes, or Clear Skin, or Happy Feet. :dancin:

I celebrated the mailing of my tax return with a sea salted caramel gelato instead of booze as in years past.
