So glad you all are here and ready to tackle day 1 again. I hope it's going well.
Just a few suggestions, things that helped me:
- Change your routine. Especially during the witching hours which were 4-8 pm for me. Take a walk, watch mindless tv, or best yet, read and post here.
- Stock up on alternative beverages. Drink lots of water. I really like some of the new flavored waters - Walgreen's are great, especially the Peach flavor and the coconut/pineapple if you like that sort of thing.
- Work your plan - mine was, and still is, a work in progress.Read as much as you can about al addiction. If listening is more your style, check out the podcast subscription called The Bubble Hour. I learned about this from others here on MWO and listen to it while I take a walk (multi-tasking, ha! Something I would never be able to do while I was drinking.)Take up a new hobby. I tried knitting and made a BIG potholder . Always wanted to learn to play the harmonica - that's next. You can learn how to do most anything on You Tube
