    Hi dopey,
If you post this in the meds section, someone might be able to give you good guidance on this question. If you want to quit, though, I say just do it without meds. Why replace one poison with another? Please stop in the Newbie's Nest (below in my signature) and meet some great people that are quitting too. Lots of great support and encouragement. Hope to see you there!

I've been on campral twice and the second time I had zero side effects. If this if your first time taking it be warned that you might suffer some gastric issues. I would have wicked diarrhea like clockwork when I first started taking it but it quickly went away. You to have to detox and remain abstinent for it to work though so don't you shouldn't bother taking it you're still drinking. You might has well be flushing the pills down the toilet. And it's not psychoactive, which is a good thing. Overall it's a very benign drug.
In the middle of my life's journey, I found myself in a dark wood, as I had lost the straight path. It is a difficult thing to speak about, how wild, harsh and impenetrable that wood is. Just thinking about it recreates the fear. It is scarcely less bitter than death, but in order to tell of the good that I found there, I must tell of the other things I saw there. --Dante, paraphrased
