Here I've been drinking every night for a long time now and I've begun to have horrible heart burn which I've never had before. I almost went to the ER today it just felt horrible. I first had an episode 1-2 months ago and thought I was having a heart attack. I've kept drinking tho. I am not drinking today. My short term goal is not to drink until I see my boyfriend on Thurs. My body is turning on me but I have not been good to myself so I deserve it.

Im sorry you are having a hard time. There at the end, I was also having acid reflux and heart burn. i can tell you it will resolve but you need to do one thing! I notice you were here back in March...it is a hard reality to know that you MUST stop drinking. But here we are three months later and nothing has changed. It takes a PLAN and dedication. You have to approach this like you would finding a new job. Get all the AL out of your house and vow to buy no more! Surround yourself with things you like to eat and do. Read as much as you can on here and participate. You can beat this thing, but it takes work to do it. It is so worth it. Change is hard, we all know that. Just take it a day at a time. Adopt a ZERO Tolerance policy! You have 2 choices, give in and let AL take everything or fight it with everything you've got! I chose to fight! You're right.......It is time for me to get it together. I feel awful physically and emotionally. I've had 2 days no alcohol. I almost went to the hospital yesterday because I was in so much pain but it resolved with antacids. I am going to call my doctor tomorrow. No alcohol today either!!!!! I've not treated my body well and I'm sick of it.Time to feel good about myself!!! Thanks for your words

I have not had any heartburn today. I have felt very hungry. Hope I don't gain weight but it is what it is. Trying to find what to do with my day tho. How many hours filled with drinking. So stupid!!! I hear my body saying thank you today. Not easy at all! Love the support I get here!!!!

I remember my last few days drinking - heartburn so bad! Felt so sick.....not even a trace once alcohol was removed!IT'S NEVER TOO LATE TO BE WHAT YOU MIGHT HAVE BEEN
