Roxy, are you feeling better today? I'd much rather have that seesaw of emotions than the numbness so kindly supplied by f(r)iend Al. Worst of the numbness was that I never realised how numb I'd become.SHITE !! YES forgot that too ! Always kinda muzzy !!:yuk:
Have noticed that someone will ask for something in here that I do not know how to do - used to get all STRESSY - like Roxy - but now I sit back & say " I'm not THICK - I can do this " Amazing ,,,,,, And if I can't do it - I just say NO - show me if you want it done. Confidence I suppose

yes, numbeness is looking very attractive today........
the biggest annoyance of all this is i have nothing to feel bad about! mentally count what i have to be grateful for and its alot but still..........
Have these :l:l:l:l and I truly mean that. You are doing really GREAT !!

Roxy, you've pinpointed your problem - so get a move on. Make a list of five things you want to do today. Or three, if you feel very fragile. And if brushing your teeth makes it on to the list, so be it. Make "Make a list of things to do today" the first point, if that will make you feel better.

And then do it, even if it takes you the entire day to tick off those items. Drawing a big fat line through something gives an incredible boost. Lather, rinse, repeat tomorrow.

Lists are the first thing I do when I feel the way you do now - and yes, that awful lethargy strikes me often and strikes me hard, and I know the power of lists. I don't like them - I keep a mental list of what needs doing, and when my head is in the right place, I don't need my off-day lists. On bad days, I look for a pencil and an old till slip.

And sorry, you probably know to do this, but just in case...

And then come back here for a hug:l:l

Jackie. You WILL do this. It's time - I know by you - you are ready.
You are not 'giving up' anything - you are STOPPING the poison of ciggies.
Just take you time - read - take the drugs if you need to - I swear by Allen Carr & Zyban together.
One got my head space right and the other took away any craving.

                    Army thread 31 July2014

Morning army I thought I was seeing things when I saw army thread on just starting out was it moved or did you just decide to post it here Dreamy. Ahh hope your mood picks up Roxy i'm not so bad this morning and yesterday was a bit better too. I don't do written down lists but like Dreamy said if I get a few bad days and if my energy is not too low I try and mentally list a few things to get done that day usually some cleaning gardening or even just to wash my hair shave my legs some thing to picked at shops chemist I pick 3 to 5 items to get done if I get half or all done then I try finish the next day and have something else listed to do. Not always a great success as I get fatigued some days but even to get some of your list done is an achievement. My house needs painting badly apart from the bathroom and some outside like the wall and railings. That's stressing me a bit but I can't afford it all now so have to wait so I can budget it in and then start planning that. I don't like living here but no choice for now and another few years so nothing I can do about that for now. Ahh life's a bitch some times and a struggle but I need to count my blessings too at least we are not in a war zone under treat of bombs and being killed. I do a of volunteer work for animal issues so I do a few hours of that most weeks. Sorry to hear about the car Dreamy its not a big job and doesn't cost you too much. Good luck with DR's orders Jc and Molly. Have to Food shopping this afternoon so going to Aldi and usually look around the euro stores and charity shops for bargains. Need to shower first and eat so catch you all later. have a terrific Thursday.
If you always do what you have always done, you will get what you always got.

Stickies another good idea been known to use those as well till they fell down or got lost among the other crap I have on the cork board. Tends to get cluttered with flyers take away menus business cards forms and God knows what. I blitz it every every so often and usually found receipts and money off coupons well of out date. Still here and not in the mood to go out but better make tracks.

Buy a nice new flowery notebook - and make SHORT lists ..
I can remember making long lists and getting overwhelmed , disillusioned and then depressed when I didn't do them. ( and then pissed - literally ):H
My lists are VERY short these days

Stickies don't work for me - they don't always stick. I can open a pretty notebooks and lovely pens shop with what I have stashed away in cupboards; they hardly ever get used, but a blunt pencil and an old till slip really work for me.

Good news on the car: a seal that needs replacement, so I won't have to sell the car to pay for repairs or sell my body to ditto or go without food to ditto. The labour will prolly cost more than the part, but I can live with that.

Off to walk Sweetest Puppy. She totally gets the concept of reading the sidewalk news.

                                Later!
