If the spammers sink our MWO ship, is there some other place we can assemble to stay in touch, even if only temporarily? Am I worried unnecessarily? Feedback appreciated.

Hi Pie, Nelz started a private facebook group that alot of us joined. He has to approve someone to join (so we don't have spammers or outsiders I think). It is private and only us members can see what we post.

Unfortuneatly this time we are being severly attacked (esp in the General area) by hundreds of postings by spammers. They are on every thread everyday. Spammers have been around in the past but they were always dealt with quickly. This time it's an army of them and no one is protecting this site.momofthree;1696629 wrote: Where are the spammers? There is a private FB page that has been created for any short/long term disruption to MWO.
You can mesage me on here, or you can friend me on FB if you'd like....its really at the moment just a "firedrill meeting place" if something crazy happens.
You'll probably have better luck reaching me on FB and please let me know you are from MWO...so come one, come all if you feel comfortable doing so.

If RJ can delegate a volunteer to check in on the site and delete spam regularly till it settles down, i think we'll be okay. Otherwise, spammers will keep posting sure in the knowledge their shopping links will be left up on an active website in the hope a punter will click on it and hence a sale for them etc, which will encourage more of the same. But Nelz's FB page idea as an emergency is handy. Thanks Nelz.

G-man, you're right. I think so many of us would be willing to help but we have to get RJ to respond.
I tried Nelz Facebook link, but it says the space is not available.
I'm a teensy nervous about Facebook lately, confidentiality, etc. but it's great to know we have it set up just in case.
The site I set up is not meant to divide anyone, I hope it doesn't feel that way! I'm trying to make us a vacation home in case we have to abandon ship!
