    struggling real bad

Liz- I know the feeling and hope it passes quickly. I know what often helps me is a good sweat. You had mentioned exercise earlier. I wondering if this would help. I'm pissed at myself as I drank yesterday and feel rusty today but am going to force myself to the gym and sweat these pollutants out of me.
Drink ton's of water as well. Hope you are OK.

Ms Roxanne thanks a lot. I have had history of temporary success. Over the past 2years, longest was 7months. I happen to live by the GA dome where all major events happen. Tail gate parties rite outside my door. The latest relapse happened during the saints and falcon games. There's is no excuse but being in that environment is a losing battle. I work in downtown so moving is not visible right now. If i can get back to the gym i know i can back on track. Thanks y'all again.

          Hi Liz.

Good to see you checking in. From what you describe, it sounds like you need some professional medical support to detox. Best to do it safely with medical support. Don't worry about some people's attitudes to us problem drinkers. You are a valuable and beautiful member of the human race and you deserve the best support and care available.

Liz is there no one you can talk to that can help you? I am worried about you being alone. Can you call a local AA chapter and talk to someone? They may have volunteers to help you through detox. Please keep checking in with us.

Just hoping the Lord will see me through this. The fact that iam still here gives me hope. I fill like iam begging for sympathy from u guys but its not the case. I come from a particularly poor part of Africa where iam the the breadwinner for more than one household. The pressure to maintain financially is adding to the depression i guess. I did call the local priest and talked for quite abit and prayed. Thanks y'all once again. The experience i had at the hospital terrifies me to go back. They put u on a real hard bed for hrs. One Dr was particularly mean when i was trying to explain my symptoms.

No one here thinks you are looking for sympathy Liz. We've all been where you are, or close to it. The reason most of us are here is because we were feeling scared and broken out of control and looking for help. You've got a lot of responsibility on your shoulders. No wonder exercise feels so good to you! How are your symptoms now. Any better than yesterday?

Liz were you able to eat anything? I think that will definitely help with your dizziness. Check in when you can and let us know that you're okay.

Hi Lizker; I've been in a bit of a fog the last week or so but I wanted to at least post support your way. Glad you're here and giving it a go, but that's rotten you had such poor luck with the ER. Is there any chance of an AA number you could call? Maybe they'd have an idea of where you could go to get some better medical help with the detox? It's only a thought, it just sounds like you're struggling so much, and we want you to be safe. Other than that, stick close and keep reading and posting and glad you managed the smoothie at least. The old timers here give excellent advice. :h

I'm glad that you were able to eat something Liz. How did you stop before? Were you able to wean yourself down to lesser amounts of the beer and eventually stop? Or were you not as bad before that you needed to titrate down? Will you be able to take a few more days off from work to get this under control? Keep trying to eat and drink water. I am here if you want to talk. You can message me too if you want. I hope you can get some sleep tonight and are feeling steadier tomorrow.
