From running 5 miles almost daily at 6.5 to not even being able to clean ur house.

Hope to start day one in a day or two. They have a saying in Africa (unwax ur ears) meaning take in, understand and take heed. This is no joke. This thing is not playing. Its out to take you out. Wishing everybody the best. New site is quite frustrating to even support anybody else

I'm glad that you checked in Liz. I didn't want to seem like I was pestering you, but I was hoping to hear from you today. It really sounds like things are slowly turning around. Exercising just a small bit is a huge step in the right direction and I'm glad to hear that you're eating a bit more. We're here when you're ready to start your day one, and we're here even if you're not ready. But once you get started, don't ever forget just how awful this can be. Don't be ashamed of where you've been, learn from it. Copy down your posts and whenever you start hearing that voice telling you that you can have just one, pull out your posts and read them over and remember this. You will NEVER wake up in the morning regretting that you didn't drink the night before. But you sure as heck will wake up regretting drinking the night before. Positive vibes to you and I hope you hear from you soon. :l

Definitely will take heed. The last three quits were the best days of my life. Thanks again dear please keep up the good work. Iam sorry that iam not able to encourage others right now as u have all been there for me.

Liz- Good to hear you are getting back into the swing of things and living the life you want to lead...and you ARE encouraging others who read your posts and then also realize the path they should be on. Great job and keep up the good fight.

I agree with STL. There are so many people who just lurk here without posting. And they are reading what you're posting and I'll bet several of them are in your shoes, but too afraid to post. Everything that gets posted here is most likely helpful to someone in some way. Maybe just being here and showing your vulnerability will be enough to encourage someone else to join and reach out for help.

I'm so glad to hear that you're starting to feel better and are going to work today. I also wanted to make sure that you were aware of what RJ posted about the site being closed for a week starting on Monday. You're at such a critical spot right now that I want to make sure you'll be okay for the week and that you have some resources to help you if you need it.

You guys are truly amazing. I was a little worried about shaking at work so i opted for the gym instead. I did about an hour of moderate cardio and sweat buckets. The vision is clear now. Been keeping busy all day long. Iam doing laundry and trying to clean my deplorable apt. The shakes did come due to not drinking anything today but i did expect that. I would be at beer 8 by now. I threw so many bottles. I needed 2 thrash bags. Will definitely get to aa as soon as this passes. I

liz, good to see you here.

can you get epsom salts where you are? magnesium sulfate.

in case the link doesnt work, it is good to detox and relieves shakes among other things. it has been advised here before and is cheap and easy. and it helps.

Flyway i think the worst may be behind. I will try the gym again tomorrow. I am tapering today. Hopefully tomorrow the shakes stop. This how detoxed last time. Lots of protein and the green smoothie. Broccoli in smoothie s is particularly good for detox. If things don't improve i will certainly seek help. God is definitely with me. This battle is his not mine. Spiritual battles are fought unseen.

I finally got the laundry done. Roxanne thanks for that idea. I am sure the may have Epsom salt at Cvs. Will definitely research it. Flyway away you have been amazing to me. Hopefully I'll pay it forward to somebody else . I will be checking in on the new site.STL i am really touched by that in put. I never looked at it from that point of view. This is a matter of life and death. Anyone going through this or who hasn't let it get this far please know that this is nothing to play with. Its unbelievable how persuasive it can be when u try to quite. It knows certain people to use to pull you back in, which places to tempt you at. Super cunning calculate.
