Great to hear Liz! I hope you are feeling good about yourself; first of all reaching out for help and secondly taking the steps necessary to get control of your life and your life's path. I am really happy for you and I'm happy to see you planning ahead for next week.

Sounding good, Liz! Treat your body gently and follow the cues. Sleep as much as you want to if possible. We are pulling for you!

Just got back from the gym. Doing some serious soul searching of how unremorseful we unintentionally are when we choose to drink. Someone is paying for my er trips that is not me. Whether insurance or tax payers, my choices are costing someone seriously. I called around to look for outpatient treatment ctrs, its in 20000 to 40000 range which an insurance company Will have to foot, How selfish! All because i wanted to feel good. Will definitely use my God given abilties to take responsibility for my own life and not have others pay for it. Not fair. Things are definitely better to night. I went down the list of my problems, failures, point Iam in life. All of them have a big rubber stamp ALCOHOL. I know you have all done this soul searching before you made your wise decision s to do your work. I hope iam finally finally there too. Thanks guys for checking in again. You all are truly life savers.

Hi Liz, I'm about to call it a day, and thought I'd check in on you. So glad to hear you sounding better. Have you seen this talk by Dr. Kevin McCauley? It's helped me tremendously to understand what's going on in my addicted brain. Maybe it would help you too. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4Hz6-2NwRzE

This really is a wonderful video. It's a bit over an hour long, but it's truly interesting and I learned things about addiction that I had never heard before. Thanks for posting this link Pie. This should be put in the Tool box if it's not already there.
