Thanks a lot Pauly for that. Very encouraging.
Pie, that was truly beautiful. Thank you. I truly thank God for the wonderful people here at MWO. Y'all truly make a difference. You build people up, pick them up when they are down, encourage when necessary, rarely nasty like some sites I know. Very glad I come here.
Started phase two of reclaiming my life today. I went to a neurologist for the first time to see how much damage I did to myself. The Dr ordered an MRI which I will have done tomorrow.

Wow how time flies, another month gone already! Month 7 done, onto the eighth month...It really gets easier with time. The obsession is slowly fading. Every now and then I get snippets of my pre-drinking life. I want that back. I don't want this cloud on me for the rest of my life.

Thankfully my body and brain are healing and my sleep and anxieties are soo much better. I started the year strong, inspite of the mid year slip, I am so happy I am ending it strong.
Thanks you to all those who have encouraged me along the way. Pauly, Pie, Guitarist, AbcCowboy, Starty, Idefineme And anyone else who offered a kind word of encouragement.

Congrats on your 7 month! You're truly an inspiration. Keep it up!

Eight months down!!!!! Month nine here I come. The cravings are physically none existence but the psychological dependence is still very much present. Certain days and certain people are strong triggers. It's amazing how when those days pass, the thoughts and intense desires to drink literally vanish completely, until the same time the following week. It's a learnt behavior that must be gradually unlearnt.
