Some nights great , other nights I would wake throughout the night and finally just get up and moving around 4 am. PM me if you want to know more about my experience. I am so hopeful for you and your AF experience. 30+ years and making a huge change is both great and challenging.

I am sleeping better than I was only wakeing to go to the loo (sometimes too late) - Finding getting up hard but I know I am feeling better - Much better

Day 6
I think the Baclofen is doing a good job - I can think about alcohol and then move my thoughts to something quite randon - like washing the towels or dishes without needing alcohol to get me into these chores - Further more I am staying awake longer at night (not drinking) and sleeping fairly well - One think I have noticed is that I am sleeping so hard I have over the last two nights wet the bed slightly before I wake myself up to go - Baclofen is definately making me want to urinate more, which is a known side effect - I increased for the next five days my dosage to 120mg per day in 5 stages of 25mg tablets - Yes I know that adds up to 125mg lol - I am a little concerned that yesterday I was mixing my tablets to make 35mg (25 35 35 25) between 10mg of Baclofen and 25mg of Zaclofen - I would be open to opinions on mixing in the same dose
I have the day off today so have filled it will stuff to do - I am seeing my Cardiologist on Saturday, which will be a week of abstinance - I know he will be thrilled for me - I really enjoy seeing him but a downside of abstinance is that I am sure he will sign me off his list which is a shame as he is a lovely guy - What do you buy a cardiologist as a thank you?
Another side of AF as I have mentioned before is that I am finding it hard to keep my mouth shut - I have had several "incidents" where I may have gone over the top with other people (who did deserve it mind you) - so the wife has told me to watch out if I start on her lol
Goodbye my friends for now

Day 7
This will be my first Friday without a drink - probably for 30 years - Yay
My mood is ok but I feel my aggression is getting worse - I apologised in advance to my work mates today as I could feel at times I was going to explode - Baclofen or lack of alcohol in my system I am not too sure
One bad thing was that I wet the bed big time last night - The previous two nights I had woken at a trickle and saved my blushes, last night it was a fully blown slash - This is deffo the baclofen which is making me sleep like a dead person - Fortunately my wife is fully behind me (she is pleased she is not infront lol) but it is still a bit of a worry

Its odd really
I have read reports that Baclofen makes people sleep poorly - I sleep like a log
I have read reports that Baclofen makes urinating difficult - I wet the bed and urinate frequently
Comments and experiences welcome

Day 8
Another bed wetting night - This is starting to worry me - I woke wet at 01.30 having had my last coffee at about 22.00
Ok - sure I could stop the coffee a bit earlier in the evening but that said I always drank up to bed time before with no issues - It must be the Baclofen zonking me out so maybe I need to adjust my timings to make my last tablet at maybe 18.00 instead of 20.00 or 21.00? - As usual comments appreciated

Day 9
Dry night - Two possable reasons - either last drink at 18.30 or last Baclofen at 18.30 - Tonight I am going to try the same tonight
Maintaining the 125mg a day until Tuesday when I will look to increase to 150mg for five days - I am still having urges to drink but I can supress them fairly easily - Am I at the switch? - seems a low intake judging by some posts or is the switch at the point when I dont even think about it?
Contary to some opinions I do feel a buzz out of the Baclofen
One day at a time and keep yourself busy are my gods

Hey Bac - I do not have any experience with Baclofen so I can't contribute to that part. I DO have experience with the struggle to just start Day 1 and get a plan that sticks.
I just wanted to pop in and say, wow, 9 days! Good for you. Regardless of how we do it, pulling nine AF days in a row is an awesome feat and I'm proud of you. Keep up the good work!! You're on a great start for a healthy 2016 . . .

This happened to me as well but only for a handful of days and then it magically went away. I agree with your 5x a day schedule. That worked best for me. I saw a post that there will be an update to the prescribing guide to take higher levels when your cravings tend to be worse. For many this would be after work until bedtime. I was a 24/7 drinker so I space mine out equally. Best of luck to you!

Thanks for your kind comments - Yes I cannot believe i have managed 9 Days - Yes me....9 Days - I had many day 1' could not get to day 2, until now
I know I have had the odd issue or two with Baclofen but all in all I have no doubt this is one teriffic bit of kit for those with addictions - My headaches have gone and hopefully if I plan my evening correctly I will remain continent overnight
Kind Regards

Thanks for your post - Glad I am not the only one lol....Hopefully I have sorted the problem
I never (unless I was seriously hungover) drank before noon - Golden rule to kid myself I did not have a problem (f'ing idiot) - Of course the fact I drank from noon till I passed out meant nothing!!
Do you find you have an addiction to Baclofen in as far as you are looking forward to your next pill?

Day 11
Well, here I am at day 11 - I am sort of in awe of myself
I appear to be over the SE of Baclofen (sort of)
I have today increased my dosage to 150mg a day split into 6 doses of 25mg split every 2 and half hours during waking hours - My sleep is awsome, apart from the odd incontinent moment as I have touched on before - My mood is aggressive but controlled, which is not usual for me - This is probably down to lack of A rather that dosage of Baclofen (i think)
I am enjoynig putting my kids to bed, taking walks with them and taking them to after school clubs, all of which were a no no last year
If anyone is interested I have attached a copy of my MRI scan which shows the small area (left hand side in solid white) of brain killed when I suffered a TIA early last year

Day 14
Oh my god - What a night last night was and this morning has been
Catch up here
Needless to say I will be reverting back to 150mg of Baclofen @ 25mg/6 times a day - Dont want to go back there again
I have formed a special bond with Ne (not sure she feels the same way lol) and my friends Nora and Jvo are special too (as are you all but) I will single them out for special praise...- How can I use "special" three times in one sentance - Ne, maybe I am Hyper? lolol
Best wishes to all

Thanks for your support as usual, I have come a long way with support from all of you, something for which I will be eternally grateful - Only my own stupidity has caused this blip
Best wishes, my friend
